Bergisch Gladbach's Fair Week 2025: A Celebration of Fairtrade
Bergisch Gladbach recently hosted its 'Fair Week', a celebration of Fairtrade, from September 12th to 26th, 2025. The event, organized by the Fairtrade steering group, saw enthusiastic participation from locals and visitors alike.
The Fair Week kicked off with the 'Aromas of the World' event at the city library. Attendees enjoyed a reading and wine tasting, immersing themselves in global flavours. Meanwhile, at the WIR-mobile, a guessing game drew over 150 participants, with prizes including fair footballs and packets of fair-traded coffee.
Okan Soylu, an active footballer, and Nesrin Hussein, who won a fair football for her son Aland, were among the lucky winners. The Fairtrade steering group organized these events and more, spreading awareness about Fairtrade throughout the city.
The Fair Week in Bergisch Gladbach 2025 was a success, with many visitors showing keen interest in Fairtrade. The Fairtrade steering group looks forward to building on this enthusiasm for the Fair Week in 2026.
