Adidas indeed introduces a shoe especially tailored for treadmill jogging
Adidas has entered the growing discipline of treadmill running with the launch of its latest innovation, the Treadflow. This new running shoe is engineered specifically for indoor use, designed to work seamlessly with the mechanics of treadmills and regulate foot temperature in hot, stuffy indoor spaces.
The Treadflow boasts a lightweight design, weighing just 220g, making it surprisingly advanced for indoor running shoes. It features a tailored mix of Lightstrike and Lightstrike Pro foams, similar to those found in the Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 4, providing optimal cushioning.
The shoe's cushioning is also optimized to sync with the treadmill's own cushioning effect, ensuring a comfortable and efficient running experience. The Treadflow's traction is handled by a lightweight LIGHTTRAXION outsole, ensuring a secure grip on the treadmill belt.
The Treadflow's upper is made from adidas' CLIMACOOL material, which delivers 360-degree airflow. This breathable mesh upper, along with outsole cut-outs, helps regulate foot temperature, keeping runners cool and comfortable during their workouts.
The Treadflow will be available in gender-specific colorways, adding a touch of personal style to the workout. The new running shoe will be listed on Adidas' website from September 1, 2025, and will also be available via the Adidas app and selected retailers. The price for the Treadflow is set at €130/ $130/ £110 (~AU$201.84).
Adidas believes that treadmill running is a growing discipline that deserves gear built for its unique demands. With the Treadflow, they aim to provide runners with a shoe that is specifically designed for indoor treadmill use, enhancing their workout experience and taking their indoor running to the next level.
