In the heart of Riga, the city's vibrant culture is about to be enriched by an unique event. "A Wall is a Screen," a company founded in 2003 with a mission to utilise public space in a non-commercial way and present it in a new light, is collaborating with the independent film and audiovisual arts festival, 2Annas.

The event, a cinema walk through Riga, is part of the Riga International Short Film Festival 2Annas. Known for presenting original, challenging, and socially active short and medium-length films, 2Annas is set to offer a fresh perspective on familiar places during this seven-film event.

The journey begins at the square in front of the Latvian National Museum of Art, Esplanade Park, Jaņa Rozentāla laukums 1, Riga. The first screening will take place here, setting the stage for an urban sightseeing tour like no other.

The itinerary for the screenings beyond the first one at the square remains a surprise, adding an element of anticipation to the event. What is certain is that each film will interact with its surroundings and vice versa, creating a truly immersive experience.

One of the highlights of the event will be the films being screened in their original language with English subtitles, ensuring that the nuances of the stories are not lost in translation. The titles of the films will not be disclosed before the screening, promising a surprise at each location.

The event is free of charge, making it accessible to all who wish to participate. So, mark your calendars and get ready to explore Riga in a new light as familiar places are revealed in a fresh and innovative way. The films and other locations for the walk are a mystery, but one thing is for sure - it's going to be an unforgettable experience.
